Disease Detectives
Study Event
Participants will use their investigative skills in the scientific study of disease, injury, health, and disability in populations or groups of people — essentially epidemiology.
Entomology
Study Event
Students will identify insects and immature insects by taxonomy order and family, answer questions, and use or construct a dichotomous key. All insects are representatives found in North America.
Heredity
Study Event
Teams will answer questions, solve problems, and analyze data pertaining to classic and molecular genetics — from Punnett squares to modern genetic analysis.
Water Quality
Lab Event
Participants will be assessed on their understanding and evaluation of freshwater aquatic environments, including building a salinometer device and testing water samples.
